What types of containers are available?

What is the quantity of the jar?

The standard is a 500 g jar, but if you require other specifications, please contact us.

How can I identify the alloy composition, solder powder type, and flux in the based in Koki product code?

Our product codes are identified in the following order: alloy composition(Koki original code) – solder particle size – flux number. For example, S3X58-HF1100-3 means S3X (alloy Sn/3.0Ag/0.5Cu), 58 (particle size 20-38 μm) and HF1100-3 (flux No. HF1100-3)

How can I interpret the Lot No.?

Koki Lot No. is identified in the following order: date of manufacture – batch number

(e.g. 409011 -> 4 (last digit of A.D.: 2024) 09 (month: September) 01 (Day: 1st) 1 (1st batch manufactured))

What are the packaging specifications?

Our standard packaging options are cardboard or Styrofoam.

Storage

What is the shelf life duration?

The standard shelf life is six months from the date of manufacture, but this may vary depending on the product.

Do you have any storage recommendations?

Keep products sealed and refrigerated at 0-10°C.

Can Koki products be stored in frozen conditions?

No, regular products are not supported for frozen storage. Please keep them refrigerated.

How to use solder paste

What is the recommended method for bringing the product to ambient temperature after refrigeration?

It is recommended to leave products at room temperature for at least 1.5 hours before opening.

What is the recommended stirring time?

After returning to ambient temperature, manual stirring is recommended for 30 to 60 seconds (approximately 10 times) using a plastic spatula. For a solder paste mixer, a short time (1 to 2 minutes) is sufficient, but please check the stirring capacity as it varies depending on the equipment.

What is the pot life after opening the jar?

It is recommended to use the product within 24 hours after opening.

What is the shelf life when stored at room temperature?

While it is difficult to provide a general answer due to varying room temperature conditions among users, we do offer products that can be stored at room temperature.

What is the pot life of the product being squeegeed on the stencil?

While it is difficult to provide a general answer due to varying printing frequency among users, we can recommend products suitable for specific usage requirements.

What are the recommended conditions for cleaning stencils during the printing process?

Depending on the pitches of the components to be mounted, it is advisable to perform cleaning every 3 and 6 pieces.

Is there a recommended time interval between printing and component placement?

After printing the solder paste, please proceed immediately to the component placement process. If the solder paste is left for too long, its surface may get dried, causing components to not adhere properly and potentially come off during component placement.

What is the active temperature range of the flux?

While it is difficult to provide a general answer due to variations in product types, recommended reflow profiles are available for each product, considering the active temperature range of the flux. Please contact us for more details.
